Driving to Queenstown

Getting to Queenstown by road is a great scenic option - you’ll come across incredible natural landscapes and different attractions making it an ideal trip if you have time to explore. Roads to Queenstown are well signposted, so it’s easy to find your way here from the surrounding South Island regions. Highways are fully sealed and well-maintained but some side-roads to activities and attractions may have loose gravel and require more time and care. On unsealed roads it’s best to slow down and allow additional traveling time.
