Ms Ruth Smith

Ruth Smith is a medical physicist specialising in imaging in radiation oncology. She trained as a diagnostic radiology physicist in the UK and transferred to radiation oncology soon after qualifying. As imaging is at the heart of many current advancements in radiation oncology this unique background has enabled her to be at the forefront of development and innovation in the field. In 2016 Ruth moved to Auckland and has been the principal physicist for imaging at Te Pūriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service for the past five years.
