On behalf of the Organising Committee, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), and the NZ Radiology Education Trust (NZRET), we extend our gratitude to all our delegates for their participation in this year's RANZCR NZ ASM.

We sincerely appreciate the contributions of our international and local speakers, chairpersons, and industry partners. Special thanks are also due to the dedicated volunteers whose efforts were crucial in ensuring the success of the 2024 NZ ASM. Your contributions are greatly valued!

Many of you will be looking forward to viewing the program once again on-demand, this will be available from 9 August to 30 November 2024.

Several proffered paper prizes and competitions were held during the conference. Congratulations to the following winners:

  • There were two winners of the NZ Radiology Education Trust Proffered Paper Prize:
    • Dr Iain Ward (Canterbury Regional Cancer and Haematology Service) - A national radiotherapy incident reporting and learning system for New Zealand.
    • Dr Remy Lim (Te Toka Tumai Auckland) - First clinical experience with 68Ga–FAPI PET/CT in lobular breast cancer.
  • The winner of the NZ Radiology Education Trust Poster Prize is Dr Mina Ibrahim (Te Whatu Ora Waitemata) - Using ChatGPT to change free text reports into structured reports for staging CT scans.
  • The winner of the Obex Medical Registrar Research Award is Dr Richard Kelly (Auckland City Hospital) - Utility of PET CT in CT Stage IA Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: The New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Northern Region Experience.
